Rhubarb Nut Bread

1 Egg

1 1/2 Cup brown sugar

2/3 Cup liquid shortening

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. soda

1 tsp. vanilla

2 1/2 Cup flour

1 1/2 Cup fresh rhubarb, diced

1/2 nuts

Mix above ingredients and put in 2 greased and floured loaf pans. Sprinkle topping (see below) over top and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.

TOPPING:

1/2 Cup sugar

1 tbsp. butter
