Yesterday was spent at the Canad Inn and I will say it is a nice place. I found it to be miserably hot in the water park area. I was really wish I could stand under that bucket and get cooled off. The kids had a blast playing there and I know that Tessa wants to go there for her birthday. She thinks if we only go out to eat every other Sunday we can save for that. I am NOT going to think about it yet.

The most shocking moment, was when certain areas were close down because of something getting into the water that shouldn't have. SOLID WASTE!! I have to assume that some baby's diaper was NOT as tight as it should have been. I just never would have dreamed of that happening.

Mariah had a cute cupcake cake. We forgot to take a photo of her blowing out candles, so later when eating pizza, she had her do it then from one cupcake. John took those and eventually he will get them uploaded.

Tessa got to stay overnight with them. I did not get a call to come get her, so I assume she behaved. John and I enjoyed a quiet drive watching the sun go down and getting a chocolate ice cream cone from Dairy Queen. YUM!!! We both commented on how it had been a really long time since we had each had one of those. I am getting ready to close this entry to the sounds of squirrels fighting over the feed outside my window. I Wish!

My time with Brenna is slipping through my fingers. Why is it when we enjoy ourselves the most that time absolutely flies by? My day started at 8am when Brenna arrived at my door with a smile on her face. She had so much to tell me and really so little time to do it in. When we talk on the phone I am always telling her that I can not understand her. When I have her face to face I have NO problem. She wanted real food, which I made (fresh buns and sloppy joes). We all went to Target to find something for Mariah. Brenna and I went on a walk. I put on that brace which, quite frankly, FRUSTRATES me! I feel like I walk funny, I just want to walk like I used to. We had started to watch this movie, but she took it out to her sister's to finish. I am now waiting for John, so that we can also go out to the house.
Our evening at the Saure's was pleasant. Family enjoying themselves, sitting around a bonfire. The men trying to keep it going and the kids playing with fireworks. Brenna's camera died, so John took her to Best Buy to replace it. I know that it can be hard to get used to a new one, but I am sure she will do well. I am about to go to Alicia's so that I can ride with her when she takes Mariah to the cities. It will be a long day of driving so I hope we can both stay awake. Have a great day! Till next time...

Game night at Alicia and Gregg's was totally awesome. Tessa at first wanted to NOT cooperate. It did NOT take her long to realize she was missing out on the fun by not playing. Miss Mariah won both games of Skipbo, and we all decided we had helped her TOOO much. It got pretty loud when we started to play Catch Phrase. There were not many of us so we just kind of went around the table giving the clues to the words everyone was supposed to guess. Tessa was rather aggressive in wanting it all the time. Mariah was able to do so much better than I thought she could. It was hard to call it a night and hopefully we can do this again. Brenna it would sure be nice if you were there to join in next time!!

Tessa was invited to a friend's for a sleepover on Saturday. We first took her to the music store to have her violin checked to make sure it was ok. They showed her how to tune it and showed her the tuner she should buy. I will not invest in that until she shows she will stick with playing this instrument. We also were told that she needed this little bottle thing for humidity. She is saying she wants to play a guitar now. John says no for now and wants her to stick with what she is doing. The friend's father picked her up at noon and we will see her tomorrow at noon.

John and I went to a movie on Saturday called "Ghost Rider". I loved that movie!! We came out to snow but the nice fluffy kind. We did the rest of our shopping and then home. You know we are stuck in a rut as we did NOT have any little people and we still went home. John had taped this Hallmark movie and he wanted me to watch it. I always end up crying over those movies! The next morning before Tessa got home we went and drove around Grand Forks so that he could play with his camera. Tessa wanted her friend to come for the afternoon, but it did NOT happen. The issue of the room keeps getting in the way. I decided to color my hair again. This time I did it myself and the carpet did NOT have to change color again.

Today the weather has been great, the temp is above 30 and the sun is shining. I have my sleep study tonight and I will be glad when I have that behind me. I know all I have to do is sleep, but I hope I can do it properly! I guess I will close for now, need to think about supper and pack my little bag for my sleepover. Till next time...

The Christmas program

It has been a few days since I attempted to even write anything. It is NOT that there is nothing to comment on, it is just to take the time to sit here and put it into words. It is more like my flighty mind starts to think and then I am off doing something else. I think I finally have my Christmas cards done. I started cleaning out the files so that I am ready for the new year. May I say UGH!! I often wonder why I save all that I do. I live in fear that I might throw away something that could be important at a later date.

Sunday was Mariah's church Christmas program. I thought it was very cute! I am really disgusted at my photos. John had to work and I am NOT a photographer. I just can not seem to get clear photos with my camera when I am inside with movement. GRR!!! I made sure I tried to catch her before she had stripped off her costume. Alicia had her dressed so cute, but it was all covered by her garb. Till next time...
