Half way there

I am sitting here wondering if the kids are going to settle down and sleep soon. I am a bit nervous as they want it quiet after 11p. The girls are all boxed into their 'cave'. I will eventually share a photo or two. John and I are TIRED, but satisfied that they have had FUN! Time to sign off and catch some ZZZZZ! Till next time...

Yesterday was spent at the Canad Inn and I will say it is a nice place. I found it to be miserably hot in the water park area. I was really wish I could stand under that bucket and get cooled off. The kids had a blast playing there and I know that Tessa wants to go there for her birthday. She thinks if we only go out to eat every other Sunday we can save for that. I am NOT going to think about it yet.

The most shocking moment, was when certain areas were close down because of something getting into the water that shouldn't have. SOLID WASTE!! I have to assume that some baby's diaper was NOT as tight as it should have been. I just never would have dreamed of that happening.

Mariah had a cute cupcake cake. We forgot to take a photo of her blowing out candles, so later when eating pizza, she had her do it then from one cupcake. John took those and eventually he will get them uploaded.

Tessa got to stay overnight with them. I did not get a call to come get her, so I assume she behaved. John and I enjoyed a quiet drive watching the sun go down and getting a chocolate ice cream cone from Dairy Queen. YUM!!! We both commented on how it had been a really long time since we had each had one of those. I am getting ready to close this entry to the sounds of squirrels fighting over the feed outside my window. My Day

We had the pleasure of getting out of town and going to visit the parents and Julie. It was Mom's birthday today. She was at camp and so really did not see much of her, but I had a good time catching up with Juls. I did sit down with Mom and helped her set up her Multiply account. Can we say EXCITED! Yep, that was Mom after she realized what she could do with it. I had to smile when I got home and saw all the writing she had done since we had left.

Have you ever been so surprised that your mouth kind of drops to the floor? I found an email from someone that I thought was long gone from my ring of friends. He asked where I was and was I ok? Of course I am ok, I have not gone anywhere? I let him know that I thought he may have fallen of the edge of th earth!

The weather really sucked. There is no other way to put it. While driving to Mom's, the rain was coming down in buckets and when almost there, we had snow mixed in. I did NOT have a smile on the face. John was able to get a few photos of deer. There are so many hanging out in the shelter belt east of Dad's. The one next to the gravel belt. He also caught a deer right in the yard. He is a happy camper.

A letter arrived this week that said one of the photos he had entered on this website was being put in a book. Everyone asked if he had to buy the book for it to be published. It appears that he does not have to. It was a photo of an eagle in flight while hunting the Red this spring before the trees were all leafed out. Time to end this entry.
