John and I both are home sick today. I find it frustrating that I don't feel like doing a darn thing but rest. He got up before me and went into the kitchen. I hear a crash, words that I can't repeat and then silence. I went into the kitchen and to find a wine bottle had broken. I guess a coffee cup had fallen and landed on top of the wine bottle. I mourned the loss of that wine bottle, but enjoyed the scent it left behind.

Time away
John and I took this week off. I needed it just so that hopefully I will destress and think. I need to tell myself that everything I want done my not happen, but that is ok. I know he hopes to try and get a few shots of the aurora borealis. I think just sitting back and reading may be something I need to learn to do again. I rather miss the old me?!

One Month Old
Where has the time gone? You just came home, didn't you? I look at your little feet and wonder where they will lead you?

Post edit
I noticed this tree sometime ago. Even in death there was a strange beauty to it. Call me crazy, I think the cop that stopped to see if we needed help thought it was funny too.
